Five gamblers arrested in Sumbal | KNO

Bandipora, February 15 (KNO): Police on Friday claimed to have arrested five gamblers in Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and recover stake money of Rs 6100 from the gambling site. A police official told KNO that a police party of Police Station Sumbal raided a gambling spot near Tangpora and apprehended five gamblers who were cheating common masses at Sumbal area. The arrested persons were identified as Jahangir Ahmad Magary, Farooq Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad, residents of Sumbal, Nasser Ahmad @ Tanza of Tangpora and Nazir Ahmad Hajam of Tangpora Sumbal. Police said they have also recovered stake money of Rs. 6100/- from the gambling site. “In this connection, a case FIR No.19/2019 under section 13 Gambling Act stands registered in Police Station Sumbal and further investigation taken up.
